Now that you have a vision in mind and a budget, what next?

It's time to narrow down the venue, we started by plotting an area on the map we liked, looked at distance, avaialbilty and time of the year. We really enjoyed looking around potential venues and narrowing it down made it much more relaxing.. I find less is more in that situation as there are soo many choices throughout the rest of the wedding process to make. This way really helped keep it fun!

1. Less is more: Narrow down the options using your vision, budget, location and services available. Enjoy the process and take lots of notes and photos to help compare options.

2. Budget friendly: Stick within your budget! Only look at the venues within your budget, there are always unexpected costs so important to not stretch yourself early on.

3. Vibes: When at the location look at the colour scheme, decor, spaces you can access, does it match what you want? Also a tip, check if any refurb or redecorating is due between now and your wedding date. Venues are entitled to redecorate and we dont want it to be something you don't like.

4. Hidden fees: Always ask about the extra costs, such as lighting packages (yes they actually charge you to turn on the lights), floor hire, corkage etc.

5. Don’t forget about the little details: It’s the small details that can truly make your wedding day memorable. Whether it’s personalized signage, unique centerpieces, or thoughtful favors, don’t overlook these special touches.

6. Stay organized: Keep all your wedding planning documents, contracts, and receipts in one place to stay organized and avoid any last-minute surprises. Consider using a wedding planning app or binder to keep everything in order.

7. Remember to take care of yourself: Wedding planning can be stressful, so don’t forget to take care of yourself throughout the process. Take breaks, practice self-care, and lean on your partner for support.
